Making reminders
How do I make a reminder?
Three taps: what to do, who or what, and when. Tapping the time saves it. Or tap the mic and say it: "call the dentist tomorrow at 3."
Can I add my own verbs or things?
Yes. Tap + New on the verb notes or the who-or-what notes. To hide, remove, or reorder verbs, use Settings > Edit verbs, or press and hold a verb.
What's Again?
Hot keys for reminders you make a lot. After you make the same one three times, Nabbit offers a hot key once. Say yes and it's one tap from Home.
Alerts and nudges
What happens when a reminder is due?
The first alert rings like an alarm. Stop just quiets it; Done marks it done. If it's not done, Nabbit nudges you three more times, then goes quiet, and the reminder stays on Home as slipped until you finish it or push it back.
I'm not getting alerts, or they're silent.
On your iPhone, open Settings > Apps > Nabbit and check that Notifications are allowed with Time Sensitive on, and that Alarms are allowed. Alarms ring even on silent and in a Focus; nudges follow your Focus unless Nabbit is allowed through it.
How do I change how often nudges come?
Settings > Nudges, anywhere from every 5 to every 30 minutes.
Siri, widgets, and Apple Watch
Siri doesn't understand Nabbit phrases.
Open the Shortcuts app, find Nabbit, and make sure its shortcuts are turned on. Then try "Remind me in Nabbit to call" or "What's on my Nabbit list?"
Where are the widgets?
Press and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and find Nabbit. The New reminder control is in Control Center's controls and can go on the Action button.
The watch app looks empty.
Your iPhone keeps the list. Open Nabbit on your iPhone once with your watch nearby, then open it on the watch. Changes on the watch reach your iPhone as soon as it's in range.
Your data
Where are my reminders stored?
Only on your iPhone, with a copy on your watch if you use one. There's no account and no server. See the privacy policy.
Will my reminders move to a new iPhone?
Yes, if you set up the new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one. Deleting the app deletes its reminders.
